Motion Design

I’ve always had a fond fascination with all forms of animation: how it’s made, the characters and stories that are told through it. So for my final studio project, inspired by my research on clowns throughout history, I want to design characters, the setting and the stories, and bring these characters to life with animation.
The story is about a small group of clowns as they try their hardest
to save their failing party business, and the respect that they desire. But in clown-fashion in their own silly way, they end up having no one take them or their business seriously. Each of the clowns in the group represents forms and styles of animation throughout history. For this project, I dabbled in designing logos, characters, props and environments. From script writing and storyboarding to creating 3D rigged models and 2D animations, this project was lots of fun!
Even though there have been some hurdles like the pandemic and life getting in the way of my studies at Ara, I’ve enjoyed my time here and feel that my skills have improved. My plans are to continue refining my skills and learning new ones, and hopefully tell my or another story to the world.
