Motion Design

Growing up, I was practically weaned on television and internet flash cartoons, and for as long as I can remember I’ve always dreamed of working as an animator for video games, cartoons, movies and just about anything that will let me get paid for drawing pictures and moving 3D models.
I enjoy animated spectacles with deep, dynamic styles that push what animation can be – the likes of Invader Zim, Akira and Avatar The Last Airbender to name a few. Being able to have a hand in the creation of amazing, animated works like these is a dream goal of mine and I want to do everything within my power to fulfill that goal!
I wanted my project to be the conceptual workings of an animated short. I’ve spent a lot of time learning how to formulate a functional and interesting screenplay from scratch, before designing a world for it and the respective characters who take part in it. The story and the point of my project was to comment on the unsteady nature of the creative industry and the rising culture of crunching the act of pushing employees or oneself through extreme amounts of overtime in order to regularly meet work expectations.
