The idea behind 1&All was founded as a way to help New Zealand society adapt to the current ageing population predicament. New Zealand’s population of the older generation is set to double in the next six years and with elderly already finding themselves detached from society, this problem is only set to increase.

1&All believes that younger generations can benefit through forming relationships and learning new skills from their elders that they will be able to carry forward into the community. 1&All encourages generations to interact with one another, which will spark new conversations and lead to long-term friendships.

Research has proven that intergenerational relationships lead to winning results for both generations, which includes each generation having a sense of purpose within the community.
1&All achieves this goal by promoting an interactive card game that includes activities and questions for young and old generations to play together. Regardless of age, this game is designed to bring generations together for future friendships.
