Visual Communication

The Memoirs campaign aims to inspire deeper social connection with our elderly New Zealanders and provide ways to further support vulnerable seniors in our community. The campaign highlights their rich and varied life experience and the value they hold within society.

The widespread use of communication through social media, as well as the recent pandemic, are two significant examples that have resulted in vulnerable seniors becoming increasingly isolated and dependant on outside support.  As a pillar of our wellbeing, social connection is an essential ingredient to human health, and connecting with those elderly who are vulnerable to social isolation is extremely important.

The name Memoirs is to highlight the value of reflecting and sharing personal memories, a powerful tool in increasing our sense of belonging in the world and connection with others.  The digital illustrations used in this project aim to portray more humanised and less digitalised imagery. I have a passion for illustration and enjoy bringing a unique and emotive style to my graphic design work.
