Growing up, I always had a fascination with 2D animated tv shows such as The Powerpuff Girls, Winx Club and Avatar the Last Airbender. I am also a big fan of digital art and character design, so for my final project I wanted to combine all these things that I love, to design seven unique characters and put them into a 2D animated sequence to bring them to life.
I based my animation and characters around astrology and the art of witchcraft, specifically Wicca, as I have always been fascinated with the idea of spirituality and our connection to nature and animals, and how important it is to cherish these things, as without them we wouldn’t exist. During my time here at Ara my favourite things that I learnt were 3D modelling, 2D animation and character design.
I would love to enter the world of 2D animation or become a character concept artist in the future.
