In some way my project is a self-portrait,
I work from writing and drawings from my dream journals and the core of the work comes from the strange amalgamation of my experiences and my being, by way of dreaming. The work shows my efforts to translate the complexities of dreams into the confines of images and objects, I’m trying to give a tangible form to something so intense and fleeting, and exploring different methods of doing so. I’m interested in the sensory experience of having a body and the relationships between it to the mind and the physical world. Another goal of this project was to explore or investigate the validity of a collective unconscious, divine insight, and in general, the spiritual or paranormal aspect of dreams. In the absence of any sort of spiritual aspect, it’s a way to decode myself by listening to my subconscious.
