After a four-week internship at Kate Sylvester, I created a collection from the design brief they provided. The brief was “Design a collection that takes inspiration from our current A/W ’22 Kate Sylvester ‘Portrait’ collection and expanding on this to be launched to the European market”.

With that, I based the collection on 90’s silhouettes and prints to align with the theme of Kate Sylvester’s ‘Portrait’ collection. When designing for this collection, I used 90’s icons like Princess Diana and supermodels such as Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and Kate Moss as muses and as a base for my customer.  The collection features tailoring aspects in the garments and uses prints, textures and colours that are trending right now but also reminiscent of the 90’s era. The main goal I wanted for the garments in the collection was to be wearable and timeless in a person’s wardrobe and can be worn with other pieces in their personal collection. All these aspects and inspiration created this Autumn/Winter collection I called ‘Muse’.
