Lauren Hemens

Fashion

I based my semester 1 collection around my time interning with Moochi. For the collection I combined their existing style with my own design aesthetic, forming a collection that focused on masculine and feminine design, linear shape, and putting an emphasis on contemporary pieces with an edge.

I was then lucky enough to be offered a job with Moochi after my time interning with them, and I have been working in Auckland as their production assistant for the past 4 months now, finishing my study remotely. I would not have been presented with this opportunity if it wasn’t for my time at Ara, so I am extremely grateful that I was given the tools to land myself a position before graduating, with a great brand like Moochi.
